The General Atomics MQ-9A Reaper or known as (Predator B).
- A unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone is capable of remotely controlled or autonomous flight operations.
- Developed from General Nuclear MQ-1 hunter.
- MQ-9 is a larger, heavier and more capable aircraft than the first Nuclear MQ-1 hunter; It can be controlled by the same ground system used to control MQ-1S.
- Design
- The rapper was designed for military operation and was not intended to work between the crowded airline traffic.
- An MQ-9 can adopt different mission kits and a combination of weapon and sensor payloads to meet combat requirements.
- Its Raytheon AN / AAS-52 multi-spectral targeting sensor suite includes color / monochrome daylight TV, infrared and image-sharp TV with laser rangefinder / laser designer to set targets for laser-guided enemies.
