This Rifile is designed by Russian Mikhail Kalashnikov,it was the assault rfile used by most Eastern Bloc countries during the cold war. The rifile was adopted in 1947. It is design an automatic rifile combining the best features of the American M1 and the German StG44.
- Features
- AK-47 was designed to make cheap, simple, easy assault rifle, perfectly matching the Soviet military principle which treats equipment and weapons as disposable items.
- The AK-47 has about 6,000, 10,000 to 15,000 rounds of service / system life.
- In AK-47 there are small parts and springs that need to be replaced every few thousand rounds. However, "Every time it is separated from the field stripping phase, some parts will take some time to fit in some parts, in some parts it can be loose and can fire out while fireing the weapon.
- Variants
- AKM: Simplified, light version of AK-47; Type 4 receiver is made of printed and riveted sheet metal. A slanted muzzle device was added to automatic fire climbing. Rifle weight is 3.1 kg (6.8 pounds) due to lighter receiver. This is the most omnipresent version of AK-47.
- AKMS: The under-folding stock version of AKM is for Airborne soldiers.
- AKMN (AKMSN): Night Scope Rail
- AKML (AKML): Slot Flash Suppressor and Night Scope Rail.
- RPK: hand-held machine gun version with long barrel and bibt Variants-RPCs, RPKN (RPKSN), RPKL (RPKSL) -Mirrer AKM variants. "S" forms contain a side-folding wooden stock.
